The tour of the Terracotta Army was excellent. We were advised the day before of the picking up time and the guide arrived to our hotel punctually. The planning worked very well as we got to the place early enough to avoid the big crowds. Our guide Celine was great. She gave us a detailed historical background on the way there, so we were able to appreciate more what we were seeing. Then at the actual site she directed us to the places where we could best appreciate the important details. Then she suggested an excellent restaurant to have lunch. Our small group (French family with two young kids, a Japanese man, an Australian woman, and the two of us from Canada) was friendly and interested. Celine's English is very good, very easy to understand and she has a very cheerful and appealing personality.

When I found Travel China Guide on the internet, I was a little wary, as I could not meet anyone face to face in Sydney (my home town). However all my dealings by email were dealt with promptly and super-efficiently by Wendy Lee, my appointed consultant. I also contacted Wendy by phone and was provided with excellent assistance.

After discussions with Wendy, we decided on a private tour (for a couple) which covered Beijing, Xian, Zhangjiajie and Shanghai. We also opted for days to ourselves at some of these cities, which was no problem to arrange.

Our overall experience on this tour was absolutely marvellous ! Each of our guides were extremely knowledgeable, spoke perfect English, were very friendly and offered many helpful suggestions and advice, not just about the tour. I cannot praise them highly enough.

I thoroughly recommend China Travel Guide to anyone intending to see any part of China, you will enjoy a very memorable experience. They know China intimately, are very easy to deal with and are completely genuine. China is worth seeing more than once - we will definitely use them again.

Travel China Guide provided outstanding service and communication, and we had an exceptional trip. We had used Travel China Guide on our previous trip to China (2015) to purchase several train tickets so we were somewhat familiar with their services. On this occasion, because we were traveling to Tibet, we booked a private tour with them. Travel China Guide was extremely organized and our Travel Consultant, Emily Xin, was very responsive and efficient, and took care of all our needs and customization requests. She was very proactive in ensuring that everything was organized so that the trip would go smoothly, including arranging for us to pick up the official Tibet Travel Permit during a short transfer in Beijing airport. Overall, Emily provided outstanding customer service, and we had absolute confidence in her.
As for the actual trip, travelling to Everest Base camp, starting in Lhasa, was epic. Thanks to our outstanding guide Tsedron, we were introduced to the traditions of Tibet, learned about the history and Tibetan Buddhism, while enjoying spectacular mountain and river scenery. The trip was extremely well organized while feeling relaxed and well taken care of. The hotels were excellent, as was the driver who was very friendly and who drove very well and safely over long distances and mountain passes. The expertise and kindness shown by Tsedron while explaining all the sights really stood out and made the trip incredibly special. Overall, this was an exceptional and memorable trip, we would definitely use Travel China Guide again.

The respond from our travel consultant Ms Wendy is fast and efficient. We are very impressed with her efficiency. As for the driver, 程岳, he is very committed and accommodating to all our special request. The same goes to Ms Rita and Ms Julie, our tour guide who accompany us for the whole trip have been very professional and understanding. We have been well taken care of by the excellent team that you have arranged for us to make our Xi’an trip enjoyable and memorable.

Hi Wendy, I will never forget our trip in China, because of the people in China- very kind, because of the chinese history, because of the shows! This is my opinion about our trip in China. All turguides was very helpful and kind. Nevertheless in tbe world we didn't recive such good service. I will never forget tourguides in Zhangjiajie, Xian, Datong, Beijung, Tibet. All cars and drivers were on high level! Acribatic show in Shanghai and Yangshou ware breadtheking, the show in Xian about the silk road was extraordinary( thanks to Carol who advised it) The hotels were ok. For us the best hotel was in Datong, for me the worst was in Xian. All our experience in Tibet was amazing. For us the most interesting thing in China is Potala, after that Tianmen in Zhangjiajie and Mosk in Xian. I have expeted that my commrets will be bigger, but at the moment I coudn't write more. This was my second experience signing up with Travelchinaguide, and I joined a small group that started with 18 members but down to seven as we flew to Zhangjiajie National Park in Hunan, while others headed to different destinations. The tour spanned 11 days, covering Beijing, Xi'an, Zhangjiajie, and Shanghai.

I used to travel alone and was hesitant to join a group tour with unfamiliar individuals.. However, I found that everyone in the group was friendly and communicative, looking out for one another's pace, much like the different tour guides I encountered in each city throughout the trip.

Tour guides are all highly professional and passionate about their work. They communicate effectively for questions and are patient, and have extensive knowledge about the rich history of the attractions we visited.

I enjoy learning about historical facts, such as the reasons behind the construction of the Great Wall, the long corridor in the Summer Palace designed to shield the queen from the rain & sun, and the astonishing discovery of the Terracotta Army in X'ian. In addition to this large scale underground discovery, the city wall in X'ian is another fascinating site to explore.

The X'ian city walls are among the oldest, largest, and most well-reserved fortifications, featuring an extensive walkway on top that can take hours to explore. While walking along the top it evokes one a deep sense of nostalgia, to reminisce the city's historical significance as former capital.

My review aims to share personal insights and experiences while highlighting the professional services of all staff. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, included attractions that were worth visiting, especially given the limited day/time available in each city. Nonetheless, certain factors, like the unpredictability of mother nature, were beyond our control, as was evident when the tour wrapped up in Shanghai.

Around September 14, Shanghai experienced an unprecedented typhoon, a rare occurrence in the past 75 years, resulting our late arrival that evening. The following morning, the weather remained unpredictable, leading to the cancellation of planned activities such as the museum visit and Huangpu River cruise due to heavy rain and strong winds. Consequently, we returned to the hotel to bid farewell, as we were all scheduled to check out next morning for departure.

Our tour guide, Martin, quickly suggested an optional evening show that wasn't part of the itinerary but required out-of-pocket expenses. He succesfully secured tickets after several attempts, allowing interested group members to spend and enjoy a delightful evening. Martin's enthusiastic demeanour not only uplifted the group's spirits but also ensured transparency regarding the cancellations caused by the weather, resulting in a partial tour refund. Although the refund was modest, I was impressed and appreciated for this policy implemented by TravelChinaGuide.

The TCG is a dependable and well-organized travel agency. From the travel consultant Emily, tour guides Kevin in Beijing, Carol in X'ian, Amanda in Zhangjiajie & Martin in Shanghai, and drivers are all dedicate to collaborate and commit effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.

PS ---I wrote another separate lengthy review of Zhangjiajie National Park on TripAdvisor since it was the place that motivated me to take this tour. While all the cities included in the tour are great to explore, Zhangjiajie stands out, for me, as an extraordinary must -see destination that all adventurous travelers should experience.
